AllPeopleBeHappy Announces Newest Round of Impact Funding

The Impact Committee is excited to announce another inspiring group of projects that reflects the creativity, resilience, and determination of communities across the AllPeopleBeHappy Network. From restoring ecosystems and expanding opportunities for people with disabilities to improving access to education and empowering Deaf youth, these initiatives address locally identified priorities while creating lasting pathways toward inclusion, sustainability, and community wellbeing. Together, these projects demonstrate how community-led solutions can create meaningful change that extends far beyond individual participants.

Visions Global Empowerment Ethiopia – Empowering Rural Deaf Youth Through Sign Language & Education:
Building on the success of the Visions Academy School for the Deaf and the Dr. Catherine Clark Center for Audiology, this project will expand educational and hearing healthcare services into underserved rural communities. Deaf youth will receive Ethiopian Sign Language instruction, literacy education, hearing assessments, hearing aid support, and ongoing academic assistance while families and communities gain greater awareness about inclusion and accessibility.
Estimated to impact hundreds of Deaf children, young adults, and their families across Southern Ethiopia.

Magpie Community Foundation – Spotted Horse Reforestation Initiative (United States):
On the Pine Ridge Reservation, this project will restore native ecosystems by planting 80 trees throughout the Spotted Horse Community Park and Campground. Building on previous investments in solar-powered irrigation, the initiative will improve soil health, increase biodiversity, create shaded public spaces, and provide a living classroom for environmental stewardship while strengthening long-term community resilience.
Estimated to benefit thousands of annual park visitors and the broader Pine Ridge community through lasting environmental restoration.

CEOLI – Technical Training for Employment and Family Micro-Enterprises (Bolivia):
This project will prepare young adults with Down syndrome and intellectual disabilities for meaningful employment through individualized life skills development, vocational training, supported internships, and family entrepreneurship. By pairing technical education with business training for families, CEOLI is creating multiple pathways toward financial independence, community participation, and greater inclusion.
Estimated to directly and indirectly impact more than 200 individuals, including young adults with disabilities and their families.

Rukmini Foundation – Community Connection Camp: Empowering Teen Girls Through Digital Wellness, Leadership, and Community Engagement (Nepal):
This innovative residential camp will bring together more than 200 adolescent girls for a phone-free experience focused on leadership development, mental health, digital wellness, and community engagement. Through workshops, outdoor activities, mentorship, and team-building experiences, participants will develop healthy relationships with technology while building confidence, resilience, and lifelong leadership skills.
Estimated to directly impact 200–220 girls while creating ripple effects throughout their schools, families, and communities.
