AllPeopleBeHappy Wins GoAbroad Innovation Award for Philanthropy

We are honored to share that last week, at the NAFSA Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida, AllPeopleBeHappy was recognized with the GoAbroad Innovation Award for Philanthropy.

The award recognizes our organization’s response to recent devastating storms in Jamaica and Sri Lanka, where we worked alongside local community partners to support recovery efforts and mobilize resources when they were needed most. Through the collective efforts of donors, university partners, alumni, staff, and volunteers, we were able to help provide critical assistance while also demonstrating how institutions of higher education can play a meaningful role in disaster response and long-term community recovery.

This recognition belongs to so many people. We are deeply grateful especially to our community partners in Jamaica and Sri Lanka whose leadership, resilience, and vision continue to inspire us every day. Their work on the ground made this impact possible.

As we look ahead, we remain committed to building stronger partnerships, responding when communities call, and creating opportunities for students and institutions to engage in meaningful global citizenship and service.
