AllPeopleBeHappy’s latest projects will impact hundreds of thousands of people in six countries

The impact committee voted to fund six exciting new impact projects in January 2026. This set of projects focuses on everything from disaster relief and recovery in two communities affected by natural disasters; access to water, information, and income; and breaking generational cycles of abuse. In the short term, these projects will impact thousands of people directly. At the same time, they lay the groundwork for major improvements that will make a difference for years to come. Keep reading to learn more about each new project and our inspiring partners who lead them: 

  • Nido de Vida in Ecuador – Creating a Community Water Source: Nido de Vida will install a hydraulic ramp pump and a water distribution system that will provide water to farmlands in their community, La Bolivarense. Currently, none of the farms have convenient water access for their animals, which means that all farmers carry containers of water to their animals. This is is both physically difficult and time consuming. The hydraulic ramp pump uses the energy of falling water to lift a portion of that water to a higher elevation without electricity or fuel. A river as well as big creeks that run through the community can act as a source of falling water for the pump. The water will then be pumped to a high point in the community, where it can move through hoses and by gravity throughout the community. As part of the project, Nido de Vida will install a main hose line through the community, and each farmer will be able to attach their own hoses to that line to run throughout their farms.
    • Estimated to directly impact 300 people and animals. 
  • Petersfield Galloway Benevolent Society (PGBS) in Jamaica – Relief and Recovery for the PGBS: Rebuilding and Education: In the wake of Hurricane Melissa, which devastated Petersfield and surrounding communities, AllPeopleBeHappy responded swiftly with emergency relief, restoring access to clean water, internet connectivity, health supplies, and rebuilding critical community infrastructure, including the local community center. As the community stabilizes, Phase Two shifts from survival to recovery and resilience, with a focused investment in education, youth engagement, and community healing. This phase recognizes that meaningful recovery depends on children returning to school and young people being safely and positively engaged, allowing families the time and emotional space to rebuild homes and livelihoods while addressing the collective trauma left by the storm. Through targeted support for reopening early childhood institutions, creating safe recreational and learning spaces, providing educational materials, staffing after-school and evening programs, and launching a revitalized membership drive at the Petersfield-based PGBS, this initiative re-anchors education and community life as the foundation for long-term recovery. Phase Two ensures that young people are learning, playing, and healing, so the entire community can move forward together.
    • Estimated to directly and indirectly impact around 1,000 people.
  • Omena in Madagascar – Breaking the Cycle of Verbal, Emotional and Psychological Abuse Through a Train-the-Trainer Model: Support from AllPeopleBeHappy will directly cover: an immersive training program, materials and curriculum adaptation, transportation and stipends for rural participants, coordination logistics, and monitoring & evaluation. Omena had hoped to receive partial funding from a USAID-backed partnership through FHI 360, but due to shifting priorities, that opportunity fell through. Instead of delaying our expansion, Omena has chosen to proceed—with core operational support from Echoing Green, individual donations, and AllPeopleBeHappy’s contribution.
    • Estimated to directly and indirectly impact over 25,000 people.
  • Rukmini Foundation in Nepal – Empowering Parents: Sustainable Fermentation & Pickling for Nutrition and Income: This project will empower 30 mothers from Dakshinkali Municipality with sustainable skills in food preservation and pickle-making, which includes comprehensive hands-on training; essential materials such as jars, utensils, drying nets, spices, and packaging supplies; and marketing and lab support to ensure high-quality, safe products. Additionally, the project will support the setup of storage infrastructure, ongoing mentoring, and monitoring to guarantee consistent production and income generation. Operational costs are included to facilitate seamless coordination, venue management, and staff support. By investing in these areas, the project not only equips women with practical skills but also reduces food waste, enhances school nutrition, and creates sustainable income opportunities, ultimately fostering stronger, healthier, and economically resilient communities.
    • Estimated to directly and indirectly impact over 2,500 people.
  • FADECO in Tanzania – Radio Infrastructure & Capacity: FADECO will cover equipment procurement costs, shipping, installation, and minor electrical upgrades, ensuring FM broadcasting resumes and studio operations are restored. AllPeopleBeHappy was involved in this radio project years ago, and it proudly reached millions of people! We’re excited to see these operations resumed through this new project. 
    • Estimated to directly and indirectly impact over 600,000 people.
  • Visions Global Empowerment in Sri Lanka – Cyclone Ditwah Flood Recovery: This program will restore and improve access to essential services and livelihoods by providing assistance for shelter repair, livelihood restoration and education support. The flood recovery intervention will be coordinated with the District Secretariats of Kandy and Kilinochchi districts, and it prioritizes the families of most vulnerable groups, including women, children, elderly persons, and persons with disabilities.
    • Estimated to directly impact 1,250 people.
