MEET OUR PARTNERS

National Coalition for the Homeless

The National Coalition for the Homeless is made up of staff, volunteers, Board Members, Individual and Organizational Members, and concerned citizens who all share the view that everyone should have a home. Most importantly, they are led by people who themselves have experienced homelessness in some form, and have lived expertise on how to solve the root causes of homelessness.

Food & Friends

With the help of volunteers, Food & Friends prepares and delivers nutritionally tailored, delicious meals directly to their neighbors’ homes. Their community dietitians and professional chefs work closely to provide individualized services to their clients.

DC Central Kitchen

DC Central Kitchen (DCCK) is an iconic nonprofit and social enterprise that combats hunger and poverty through job training and job creation. The organization provides hands-on culinary job training for individuals facing high barriers to employment while creating living wage jobs and bringing nutritious, dignified food where it is most needed. DCCK’s social ventures include serving scratch-cooked farm-to-school meals in DC schools, delivering fresh, affordable produce to corner stores in neighborhoods without supermarkets, and operating fast-casual cafes throughout the District of Columbia.

SOME (So Others Might Eat)

SOME provides material aid and comfort to their vulnerable neighbors in the District, helping them break the cycle of poverty and homelessness through programs and services that save lives, improve lives, and help transform lives of individuals and families, their communities, and the systems and structures that affect them.
